The first match of the African Cup of Nations against Equatorial Guinea ended in a draw of 1-1. This score was disappointing for many football fans.

Ahead of their next match against Cote d'Ivoire Yemi Alade has shown her support for the Nigerian Super Eagles. Mama Africa as she is popularly called was chosen alongside legendary Ivorian group Magic System and Egyptian singer Mohamed Ramadan to perform at the African Cup of Nations opening ceremony.

After the horrible defeat Yemi Alade took to social media to share a video of herself at a live match with the caption, "It's my first time watching A LIVE MATCH AT THE STADIUM. The boys will bounce back #Supereagles #AFCON2023". The megastar also took to social media to dismiss any notion of rivalry that a fan tried to instigate between her and Tiwa Savage.
