Nigerian music video director and cinematographer TG Omori, has stirred intense reactions online after openly condemning same-gender relationships in a post shared on his official X account.

In the brief but explosive tweet, TG Omori wrote, “Having same gender sex is evil.” The comment immediately went viral, triggering a wave of mixed responses from Nigerians on social media. While some users supported his stance, many strongly criticized him, accusing him of intolerance and harmful rhetoric. A number of critics even vowed to boycott any music video directed by him, regardless of the artiste involved.

One user who issued a boycott threat engaged Omori directly, but the filmmaker did not back down. Instead, he doubled down on his position and warned that he planned to share more of what he described as “uncomfortable truths” drawn from scripture.

“Better block me in advance. From Monday morning, I’ll start reminding you all the uncomfortable truths everyone needs to hear according to scripture one after the other. Get some waffles and soy milk,” he posted.

In another follow-up tweet, TG Omori insisted that people should avoid entertaining certain thoughts or arguments, describing same-gender attraction or relationships as “lustful thoughts and immoral pleasures.” He added that many lack the strength to resist such urges.

His comments have continued to fuel heated conversations across social media, with the debate showing no signs of slowing down.
