Tems makes history as first artist to perform at South Africa’s newly opened Dome

Nigerian music sensation Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, made history on March 20, 2025, as the first artist to perform at The Dome in Nasrec, Johannesburg.
The Grammy-winning star brought her highly anticipated Born in the Wild tour to South Africa, delivering a mesmerizing performance that left fans in awe.
Tems, celebrated for her unique fusion of Afrobeats, R&B, and neo-soul, took the stage with an electrifying presence, captivating the packed venue with her signature sound. A standout moment of the night was her performance of Burning, a track from her debut album that has been making waves globally. The song, which was nominated for Best R&B Song at the 67th Grammy Awards, had the audience singing along passionately, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
