Afrobeats Sensation Tems is gracing the cover of 'The Cut' Magazine's January 2024 cover.

Temilade Openiyi also known as Tems is one of Africa's biggest female exports. The superstar dazzled on the cover of 'The Cut' Magazine's January Edition. Connor Garel also interviewed her and she was described as the "top streamed female artists in sub-Saharan Africa", "discography is slimmer than PinkPantheress’s, but she already has a Grammy, a Golden Globe nomination, and a Billboard record for the earworm Free Mind".

The magazine featured an article that characterized her as someone unique, stating, "NO ONE SOUNDS LIKE TEMS. The Nigerian singer-songwriter mesmerized music’s biggest names with a handful of songs. That was just the beginning".

Tems released her second single 'Not an Angel' in 2023 after her two-year hiatus. During those two years, Tems received a Grammy Nomination for Best Global Music Performance for Essence by Wizkid featuring Justin Bieber, won a Grammy for Best Melodic Rap for 'Wait for You' by Future featuring Drake, nominated for Best Original Song for co-writing 'Lift Me Up' by Rihanna for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at the Oscars.

Tems confirmed during her interview that her next album doesn't have a release date or cover but is "basically done". During an interview with Elle UK's "Ask Me Anything," Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer Tems shared what she would choose to wear if she were to meet former U.S. President Barack Obama. She said, "If Barack Obama invited me for dinner, I think I will wear jeans. I want it to be a nice chill vibe. He's already been a president. Why do we have to make things so formal?".
