'Son Of Chike is not an Afrobeats album'- Chike
The Nigerian singer Chike has clarified that his three albums do not fall under the Afrobeat genre.
Nigerian singer Chike has come out to tell fans that none of his three albums are Afrobeat. Chike's Boo of the Booless, The Brother's Keeper, and Son of Chike are afrobeat albums. He also told fans to listen to all albums again to know what he is talking about. This comes after Wizkid also announced that he wasn't an Afrobeat artist. He later clarified that he sings all genres of music and can't be classified under one.
Via his social media, Chike said, "BooOfTheBooless🌹 is not an Afrobeats album. TheBrothersKeeper🕊 is not an Afrobeats album. My third studio album #SonOfChike☀ is not an Afrobeats album. When you hear it, you will know!".

Chike released the official video of the hit song Egwu, featuring the late singer, Mohbad. The colorful visuals features images of Mohbad predominantly showcased throughout the video. Chike honoured the late street pop singer by seamlessly integrating his images throughout the music video. Egwu hit 1 million views just a day after its release.
