"The Only One That Never EVER Judged Me" - Read Seyi Shay's Emotional Tribute to Sound Sultan
Nigerian singer, Seyi Shay has dropped an emotional tribute to the late Sound Sultan, who as she revealed, brought her to Nigeria.
Seyi Shay wrote her tribute to Sound Sultan via her Instagram page on Saturday, the 17th of July 2021. She said that the late singer lived an exemplary life and was always there for everyone, every time.
In her tribute, Seyi also reveals that Sound Sultan and Cecil Hammond brought her to Nigeria together in 2012 and the late singer has been her "guardian" and "godfather" since then. She writes;
Aboo @faridafasasi said you waited for me , guess you couldn’t hold on any longer. I only had 1 more episode to do though… guess that’s why they didn’t wanna tell me.
In hindsight it was your spirit that even got me through the show that fateful Sunday. I guess the same way our Nigerian basket ball team beat USA (your spirit was definitely on that Court) ????????You lived an exemplary life. You were Humble and you were there for everyone, every time. No excuses.
