Singer and actress Seyi Shay has let fans in on a surprising chapter of her past, revealing she once dated rapper Vector, also known as Vector the Viper.
The revelation came during a recent episode of Sharing with Seyi, where she looked back on her acting debut in the 2018 Nollywood film Lara and the Beat.
Recalling the film’s buzzworthy scenes between her and Vector, Seyi Shay confirmed that their effortless on-screen chemistry was no coincidence. According to her, the pair were romantically involved long before the movie, which made slipping into those roles feel natural.
Adding a humorous twist to the story, Seyi Shay mentioned that Vector’s wife was on set during the entire shoot, including during the kissing scenes. She described Vector’s wife as incredibly supportive, even encouraging them to go all in for the scene. “She was like, ‘Yeah, do the kiss!’” Seyi shared, laughing about the moment.
Despite the unusual situation, Seyi Shay said it was all handled with maturity and professionalism, noting that she and Vector have stayed good friends over the years despite the fact that they dated. The confession has since stirred nostalgic reactions online, with fans praising their friendship and openness.
