Ruggedman speaks up on Nigeria's nationwide protest
Veteran Nigerian rapper, Ruggedman, has joined the growing chorus of voices condemning the government's response to the nationwide protests.
The outspoken artist took to Twitter to express his outrage at the authorities' handling of the situation. In a series of tweets, Ruggedman questioned the government's actions, asking, "How do you fight people who are fighting for you and then stand in the streets asking for money from the same people?"
He further criticized the government's response to the citizens' grievances, stating, "How do you fight your own people because they complain of hunger?". The rapper emphasized the long-standing demands of Nigerians for good governance, highlighting the hashtag #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria.
