Rema to headline Afrobeats biggest festival in South Africa
Afrobeats superstar Rema will be headlining the Hey Neighbour festival in South Africa alongside Kendrick Lamar.
MTV Awards winner Rema will take the stage at the Hey Neighbour Music Festival in South Africa, sharing the spotlight with fellow Afrobeat and global superstars. Hey Neighbour Festival is a three-day celebration of Afrobeats music. The festival aims to connect and build a neighbourhood through music. In partnership with Heineken, Coca-Cola, Nestle's Kit-Kat, and MTV, the fête will present the biggest lineup of African and UK artists.
The Hey Neighbour Music Festival, scheduled for December 8–10, 2023, in Pretoria, South Africa, is set to ignite the stage with a fusion of Afrobeat legends and global sensations. It will feature acclaimed Afrobeats artists such as Tyla, Uncle Waffles, Tyler ICU, Musa Keys, Blxckie, and Sho MadJozi. Other global sensations that will be headlining the three-day performance are Kendrick Lamar, The Chainsmokers, H.E.R., Khalid, and Swedish House Mafia.

To celebrate its 150th birthday, Heineken partnered with Hey Neighbour and promised to make the festival a household name. In a recent press release, the Marketing Director of Heineken, Marcel Swain, said, “Celebrating 150 years with a festival of this magnitude only seems fitting in the spirit of Mzansi. We are elevating the celebrations with this partnership by allowing everyone to enjoy good times with Heineken, one way or another".
The international superstar recently released a new single with Ice Spice titled "Pretty Girl". The renowned singer has actively submitted a "for your consideration" request for potential nominations at the 66th Grammy Awards. The award is scheduled to occur on February 4, 2024, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, USA.
