Rema shares firm stance on fatherhood and personal values

Nigerian music sensation Rema has opened up about his personal values, revealing his firm stance against having children out of wedlock.
The Calm Down hitmaker stated that he is intentional about his relationships and does not believe in fathering a child by mistake.
Speaking on the topic, Rema emphasized the importance of building a solid family foundation before taking such a significant step.
“I feel like there’s a need for us [family] to get bigger and become a whole empire if we can. And then neither do I want to wait for it to become a mistake before I decide to be a father. I’m very particular, and I don’t really be h*eing around,” he said.
The Afropop star also addressed his relationship with fellow artists Ayra Starr and South African singer Tyla, clarifying that they share a strong friendship.
“Ayra’s family, for sure. Tyla’s family. We’re good friends because I’ve been friends with Tyla even before everything,” Rema revealed.
The singer’s statement highlights his commitment to his values and his focus on intentional relationships, setting himself apart in an industry where personal lives often make headlines.
