Popular and multiple award-winning Nigerian singer, Rema continues his impressive international ascent as his hit single “Soundgasm” has been certified Silver in the United Kingdom, marking his fourth song to achieve this status in the UK. This certification by BRIT signifies that “Soundgasm” has surpassed 200,000 units in sales and streams in the UK.

Released back in 2021, “Soundgasm” showcases Rema’s signature blend of Afrobeat rhythms and contemporary melodies. The track’s sultry vibe and catchy hooks have resonated with audiences worldwide, contributing to its commercial success.

This Silver certification adds to Rema’s growing list of accolades in the UK music market. Notably, his smash hit “Calm Down” achieved double Platinum status after spending an impressive 52 weeks on the Official Singles Chart and amassing over 1.2 million registered sales in the UK. Globally, “Calm Down” has been streamed over 2 billion times across all platforms, making it the most-streamed Afrobeats song of all time on Spotify and the most-viewed African artist video on YouTube.
