Rema Sets A New Record On Spotify For African Artists

Rema has been confirmed as the first Nigerian and African artist to achieve an impressive feat on the streaming platform Spotify.

Talented singer, songwriter and performer Rema has achieved a noteworthy achievement on Spotify as he became the first and only African artist to surpass 30 million monthly listeners on the digital streaming platform.

Rema has surpassed 34,000,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, which is the highest in history for an African artist. This is, however, not surprising as the singer had some of the most streamed Nigerian songs on Spotify in 2022 following the release of his debut album, 'Rave & Roses.'
