Release date of Craig David and Tiwa Savage's collaboration revealed
The official release date of arguably one of the biggest collaborations of 2025 between Craig David and Tiwa Savage has been confirmed.
British R&B sensation Craig David is set to make a significant return with his upcoming single, "Commitment" a song which is confirmed to feature the multiple award-winning Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage.
It has been revealed that the highly anticipated song will be released on February 26, 2025.
Last month, in an Instagram live session, Tiwa Savage released a snippet of the unreleased track, revealing that the collaboration means a lot to her. She had said in the instagram live, “This collaboration is a dream come true,” Tiwa Savage said during the live session. “I’ve been a huge fan of Craig for years, and working with him has been such an amazing experience. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
In an interview with The Sun UK, Craig David revealed that he wasn't sure if she wanted to work on the song. He had said in the interview, “Tiwa is an incredible artist, when I’d finished Commitment, I felt like the song needed her. It’s an Afrobeats type of song and that’s her world. She lives, eats and breathes it.”
“I reached out and I wasn’t sure if she’d be up for it but she was. I gave her the licence to do her own thing. I told her not to feel constrained by the song I’d sent and asked her to do her own verse. She came back with it and I was like, ‘Yo! This is the one.’”
The "Commitment" single is expected to feature a blend of nostalgic elements and contemporary influences, appealing to both long-time followers and new listeners.
