Reece James gives fans new update on his injury, pens down an emotional message
Reece James has stirred the emotions of Chelsea fans worldwide with his recent update on his injury and how much their support will mean to him.
The football star who recently returned from injury was revealed to have sustained another hamstring injury making having surgery the only option for the England international who has been on the receiving end of numerous hamstring issues.
The Chelsea captain confirmed that he had made the tough decision with the support of the club to do the surgery which will keep him on the sidelines for over four months before he makes a return to the game of football.
Reece however requested for the support of fans during this tough period indicating that the negative comments are not the way to go as he did not ask to be inured. His post on social media read, "The footballing world knew I got injured but the procedure I would go down this time took slightly longer to figure out the best solution. I had surgery today to try fix my reoccurring hamstring issue, the recovery has started, both physically and mentally. Since the injury I've had a good amount of support but significantly more hate and negativity. Believe me I don't wanna be injured, I'm happiest when I'm playing football. Thanks to the understanding people that support me despite the highs or the lows, it goes a long way. Stay well, Reece."
