Premier League: Nominees for August 2026 Player of the Month revealed
Here are the players who have been confirmed as nominees for the August 2026 Player of the Month in the Premier League.
The Premier League has revealed the eight nominees for the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for August 2026, with some of the league’s standout performers from the opening weeks of the 2026/27 season making the shortlist.
The shortlist includes a combination of established Premier League stars and players who have made a strong early impression, with seven clubs represented in the final nominations.
Chelsea lead the way with two nominees, with Cole Palmer and João Pedro both recognised for their performances during August. Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Brentford, Hull City and Newcastle United each have one player on the shortlist.
The nominees are:
- Riccardo Calafiori — Arsenal
- Rayan Cherki — Manchester City
- Bruno Fernandes — Manchester United
- Cole Palmer — Chelsea
- João Pedro — Chelsea
- Mamadou Sangaré — Brentford
- Konstantinos Tzolakis — Hull City
- Yoane Wissa — Newcastle United
Supporters will have the opportunity to vote for their preferred candidate, with the public vote forming part of the final selection process alongside votes from a panel of football experts and Premier League captains.
The winner of the August EA SPORTS Player of the Month award will be announced on September 11, 2026.
