Portable sparks feud with Saheed Osupa over copyright dispute

Nigerian street-pop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has ignited a fresh controversy, this time targeting Fuji veteran Saheed Osupa.

The latest dispute comes amid Portable’s ongoing clashes with comedian Ijoba Lande, whom he criticized for reconciling with a man who allegedly had an affair with his wife.

In a recent video, Portable, speaking in Yoruba, mocked the physical appearance of Saheed Osupa, calling him “big for nothing” while praising Fuji star Pasuma for embracing him like family. The outspoken singer didn’t hold back, warning Osupa that if he refused to acknowledge him, he would publicly “drag” him.

Reports suggest that Portable’s outburst stemmed from Saheed Osupa’s decision to take down one of his songs from Spotify and other streaming platforms, citing copyright infringement. In what many believe to be a response, an old diss track by Osupa resurfaced online shortly after Portable’s video went viral. While the Fuji star didn’t directly mention Portable, fans were quick to link the lyrics to their ongoing dispute, warning Portable to expect retaliation.

In a resurfaced throwback video, Osupa shared a thought-provoking message about human behavior, stating that children who are fed cow’s milk instead of breast milk may grow up to behave like animals. The video, which was reposted by a social media user, was linked to Portable and the ongoing drama, with many interpreting it as a subtle jab at the singer’s behavior.

This is not the first time Portable has lashed out at public figures. With tensions rising, fans are now watching closely to see if Saheed Osupa will deliver a direct response to Portable’s attack.
