Controversial street pop singer, Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has reportedly regained his freedom from police custody after meeting bail conditions following his recent arrest over an unpaid car debt.

Portable's detention on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, stemmed from allegations of defaulting on payments for a Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 purchased from Ogunsanwo Temitope, also known as Temi Autos. Despite a letter of undertaking indicating a partial payment of N13 million out of the N27 million owed, Portable found himself in police custody.

According to reports, SP Benajmin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed Portable's release on Wednesday evening, May 15, 2024, following the fulfillment of bail requirements.

Despite the legal turmoil, Portable wasted no time returning to the studio, teasing fans with a snippet of his upcoming track titled Spider-Man.

The song appears to address a recent viral video showing the artist attempting to evade arrest by leaping over a gate.

In his first social media post since the arrest, Portable reflected on his faith, proclaiming the supremacy of God over all situations. The post ignited speculation among fans regarding his release, with some expressing joy while others mocked the singer, referencing his involvement in real estate.

As the controversy continues to unfold, fans eagerly await further updates from the embattled musician.
