Weeks after becoming a focal point of online discussions, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, showcased unwavering determination as he attended the Celestial Church Program, an event for which he faced cancellation in recent times.

Clips capturing the street-pop crooner's arrival at the Celestial Church of Christ, Goshen Land Cathedral, in Lagos State on the night of Friday, December 15, 2023, have gained widespread attention online.

Portable, who had faced opposition from several Celestial leaders, was seen entering the venue under heavy security detail, reaffirming his commitment to participating in the program.

Despite prior bans from the event, Portable navigated his way to the stage, where he joined forces with veteran Fuji musician Alhaji Alabi Pasuma. Notably, clips circulating online indicated that only Portable was present at the event, deviating from the initial billing that included both artists.

In the captured moments, the zazu king took to the stage with confidence, delivering performances of some of his hit songs. Notably, he engaged in a spirited act of generosity by spraying a gospel singer who shared the stage with him during the event.

The presence of Portable at the Celestial Church Program has reignited discussions surrounding the intersections of contemporary music and religious gatherings.

The artist's resilience in attending the event, despite previous controversies, underscores his commitment to his craft and his desire to share his music with diverse audiences.

As clips of Portable's performance circulate online, reactions are pouring in, further amplifying the ongoing dialogue regarding the evolving dynamics between popular culture and religious events.
