Phyno blasts viral fake news about selling Lagos property deal

Phyno has responded angrily to viral fake news claiming he sold a property deal in Lagos to a Libyan billionaire.
Nigerian rapper and songwriter, Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, popularly known as Phyno, has responded furiously to a false narrative circulating on social media about his alleged property sale and political commentary.
A viral tweet claimed that the Ezege crooner sold a N10 billion property in Lagos to a Libyan billionaire and later regretted the move, stating he should have invested in his hometown of Enugu. The post further alleged that Phyno expressed disappointment over the treatment of Igbo people in Lagos, especially following the last general elections.
Reacting to the fake news, Phyno took to his social media to call out the individual behind the tweet, labelling it as a complete fabrication. He angrily questioned the motive behind the misleading statement and used the Igbo term “Anwu nta” which translates to “small mosquito” or “termite” to describe the poster, a jab that quickly gained traction among fans.
“You are a fool for cooking up this type of lie! Where are you heading with this? Anwu nta,” Phyno wrote in a now-viral post.
Following the rapper's public outburst, the original tweet was deleted by the troll. Phyno’s response has since sparked widespread reactions online, with many commending the artist for defending himself against fake news.
