Now, as the year winds down, these platforms are stock keeping and artistes are checking their scoreboards as well. In this light, music streaming platform, Apple Music has published its compilation of top songs of the year 2020, in Nigeria. The list was published on the 3rd of December and on it, breakout star of the year, Omah Lay, sits pretty on the number one spot,.
This list features 100 songs that were the hottest in the year for Nigeria-based Apple music users and sees fresh talents like Fireboy DML and Joeboy take the second and fourth spots respectively while showing good presence throughout the list.

It is also well-dominated by older acts such as Davido whose Popcaan-assisted ‘Risky’ comes in at number 5 and Burna Boy who has a number of his songs on the list as well. Some other artistes that make the list include Kizz Daniel, Simi, Adekunle Gold, Naira Marley, Badboy Timz and many more.
