Nigerian music fans are buzzing with excitement as music stars, Omah Lay and Fireboy DML are set to appear on a track together for the first time.

The highly anticipated collaboration will feature hitmaking producer, Lekaa Beat and promises to be a musical treat.

The excitement began when Fireboy teased fans with a cryptic post on his X account on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, saying, "It's pretty messed up!," and tagging Omah Lay. Omah Lay responded with, "This world is a messed up place bro," reflecting the melancholy and introspection typical of his music. This exchange fueled speculation of a potential collaboration.

The speculation was confirmed when Lekaa Beat announced that he would be working with Fireboy and Omah Lay on a new single. This marks the first time the two artists will collaborate, sparking widespread anticipation among their followers.

Both Fireboy and Omah Lay have enjoyed significant commercial success since breaking into the mainstream. They are celebrated hitmakers with critically acclaimed albums and are both past winners of the Headies Next Rated prize, an evidence of their potential to shape the future of Nigerian mainstream music.

Recently, Fireboy released his first single of 2024, Every Day, and featured on the remix of Ayo Maff's Dealer as well as ID Cabasa's reimagining of Styl Plus' classic Olufunmi. While Omah Lay is yet to release a song in 2024, he was featured on Kaestyle's single My Dealer.

Although the release date for their collaboration has not been announced, fans eagerly await the musical chemistry between two of Nigeria's brightest stars.
