Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has shared the unexpected story behind securing collaborations with two of the biggest names in Afrobeats, Wizkid and Davido, on his recently released album Industry Machine.

During a recent interview, the Declan Rice hitmaker revealed that neither artist charged him for their appearances on the project. He described their involvement as a gesture of mutual respect and recognition of his hard work in the industry.

According to Odumodublvck, both superstars agreed to feature on the album out of goodwill, not business. “Davido and Wizkid are real men,” he said. “Both of them know they are on my album, but they are there by the special grace of God and because of the respect they have for my hustle. I didn’t pay them a dime.”

The rapper also disclosed that Wizkid went a step further by gifting him an entire track instead of just recording a verse. “The song that Wizkid featured on is actually his song. He gave it to me. I didn’t even record it. Wizkid’s verse on my album is the greatest verse you’ve ever heard,” Odumodublvck said proudly.

The revelation has since sparked admiration from fans, who praised Wizkid and Davido for showing support to a new-generation artist, Odumodublvck without financial motivation. Industry Machine is expected to further cement Odumodublvck’s position as one of Nigeria’s most fearless and creative voices in modern rap and Afrobeats.
