Popular Nigerian skit maker and musician Nasboi has addressed fans and critics after surviving a car accident during his ongoing 36-state tour aimed at securing a music feature from Afrobeats superstar Davido.

Nasboi, who launched the bold campaign eight days ago, had already visited eight states with placards publicly appealing to Davido for a verse when his vehicle was involved in an accident. Thankfully, no lives were lost.

In an official press statement released from Abuja on June 4, 2025, Nasboi described the experience as terrifying but reaffirmed his commitment to the cause. He noted that while the initial goal was to catch Davido’s attention, the journey has now evolved into a personal mission of resilience and determination.

"Yes, the accident happened and yes, it was terrifying. But I am alive, and for that, I am grateful," Nasboi wrote. "This journey is now bigger than a verse from Davido. It has become about proving to myself and others that no matter the setbacks, I’ll keep moving forward."

The comedian-turned-musician also acknowledged the concerns and criticism he’s received since embarking on the daring tour, but insisted that his decision to press on is fueled by purpose, not desperation.

Nasboi’s campaign has sparked conversations online about perseverance, ambition, and the lengths creatives are willing to go for their dreams. He concluded his statement with a message of encouragement, urging others to stay true to their convictions even when faced with adversity.
