Naira Marley Arrested By EFCC On His Birthday... Here's Why ?

Nigerian singer, Afeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley has been arrested by The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) today 10th of May 2019 which also happens to be his birthday.
This arrest is coming after the singer made a series of statement backing Internet Fraud. The singer also went as far as saying Internet Fraudsters should be celebrated as they help the Nigerian economy coupled with his recent beef caused by the same issue with Nigerian rapper, Ruggedman.
According to Punch Newspaper who spoke to an EFCC spokesperson in the name of Mr. Tony Orilade, he confirmed the arrest stating that Naira Marley has been arrested with some other persons.
He said;
"Yes, he is with us. He’s not the only person; he had some other persons also arrested alongside (him)".
According to Punch report, EFCC has confirmed that the arrest is related to the "alleged advance fee scam and related cyber crimes".
