Mohbad receives multiple posthumous awards in Ghana

In a poignant tribute, the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, was posthumously honoured with two awards at the prestigious Supreme Dynamic Talent Academy Awards in Ghana.

Mohbad, who passed away at the age of 27 under mysterious circumstances, was celebrated as the "Supreme African Street-Hop Artist of the Year" and received the accolade for "Supreme African Song of the Year" for his track titled "Beast and Peace."

The awards ceremony took place amid a backdrop of grief and shock over the untimely demise of the talented artist. Mohbad was expected to personally receive his award nomination and approval letter before his tragic passing, adding a somber note to the event.

Despite the controversy surrounding the awards ceremony, the organizers unveiled a new category dedicated to honouring outstanding artists annually. Mohbad was announced as the inaugural recipient of the "Supreme Imole Rookie Street-Pop Artiste of the Year," immortalizing his impact on the music industry beyond his lifetime.

Since Mohbad's passing, the entertainment industry has witnessed a wave of calls for justice, with numerous celebrities advocating for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the singer's death.

Authorities have responded by making arrests, and detaining individuals connected to the case. The police revealed that the singer had received three injections, shedding light on the mysterious circumstances surrounding his demise.
