Before attending Wizkid's show, Wale remarked how the singer has become one of the biggest stars in the world and how proud he was of him. In his words;

Wizkid's Made in Lagos tour has already gone from Boston to New York and he just finished a two-day concert in Maryland attended by his countryman, Wale. Wale is an American rapper who was born to Nigerian parents.
