Nigerian music sensation, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, professionally known as Mayorkun, has taken to social media (X) to share updates on the search for his missing pendant and his unexpected meeting with Cross River State Governor, His Excellency Prince Bassey Otu.

Recall that we had earlier reported that the singer lost his pendant during a concert in Calabar, prompting him to express his reluctance to return to the location. In response, fellow singer, Iyanya offered to compensate anyone who found the missing jewelry.

In a recent update shared on his X platform on Tuesday, December 19, Mayorkun paid a visit to Governor Prince Bassey Otu, who not only expressed his regrets for the singer's losses during the concert but also pledged to reimburse him for the items. Governor Otu took the opportunity to emphasize the warmth and hospitality of the people of Calabar.

Mayorkun expressed gratitude to the governor for his intervention, highlighting the governor's generosity in addressing the unfortunate incident. The singer also disclosed his commitment to awarding a compensation of N5 million to anyone who successfully locates the still-missing pendant.

He wrote, "Just met with the Governor of Cross River state, H.E Prince Bassey Otu. He assured me that Calabar people remain very hospitable and he has also stressed that I'll be compensated for my valuables lost. Thank you sir."

In a plea to his fans, Mayorkun urged them to spread the word and assist in the search for the valuable pendant.
