Nigerian afro-fusion Singer, songwriter and recording act Akinmayokun Awodumila, popularly known as May D, might be the next African act to go global as his song 'Ibadi' is currently trending on Tik Tok.

The video sharing app Tik Tok, which got its dominance during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown, is one social media app that has been blowing up random songs on a global scale.

Nigerian singer and songwriter Ckay is one of the African acts who has gone viral globally after his song 'Love Nwantiti'  became viral on Tik Tok, making it the most shazamed song in the world currently.

In the same vein, May D's 'Ibadi' which was released far back in 2014, is currently enjoying that buzz as Tik Tok users all over the world are jumping on a dance challenge using the song as its guide and it's tagged "#Ibadichallenge".

May D, who is currently signed with Davido's DMW, has acknowledged the challenge and has been sharing several TikTok videos for the #Ibadichallenge on his social media page. The groovy afrobeats tune 'ibadi' was produced by the talented Nigerian producing duo Legendury Beatz.
