England international Mason Mount has assessed his performance so far since he joined Manchester United in the summer of 2023.

After a shocking and unexpected move to Manchester United from Chelsea FC in the summer transfer window of 2023, Mason Mount has been in the spotlight regarding his form and the decision behind the move. In a recent interview, the England international assessed his form so far, speaking on how he had played for the club in the number seven jersey.

The England player believed that he has been off to a good start at Old Trafford, indicating that he has integrated with the team well; he's still understanding how the manager wants to play while learning so much from his teammates. He also indicated that there is still room for improvement as a player and as a team.

He said, "It has been a very good start. I mean, integrating in the team, understanding the way the manager wants to play. I am learning the players around me, how they play. It takes some time to understand that and get into a flow. I want to improve my performances but I think that will come over time. Also, performances as a group, I think we are getting there and we will keep continuing to work at that."

Mount also spoke about the pressure of wearing the number 7 jersey; he acknowledged some of the biggest names in football history. He said, "Of course I know the pressure that comes with it [the No. 7 shirt]," Mount added. "I have been a fan of the likes of Beckham growing up as a kid so I know what he did at this club. For sure, there is pressure that comes with the shirt but that is something that I like to have. I want to perform in it and it is a massive, massive club and an iconic number so it really means a lot to me."
