Magistrate Court orders DNA test for late Mohbad's son
A Magistrate Court in Ikorodu has mandated Wunmi, the widow of the late Nigerian musician Mohbad, to conduct a DNA test on their son, Liam.
The decision was announced on Wednesday, April 17, in a statement signed by Monisola Odumosu, a member of the legal team representing the Aloba family.
The legal team representing Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, requested permission from the court to serve Wunmi with the lawsuit’s originating documents and other relevant documents at her last known address. This comes after two failed attempts by the sheriff to serve her with court papers regarding the DNA test.
The Chief Magistrate granted the order, allowing the court process to be posted at Wunmi's last known address, which is considered good service under the court’s rules.
This move ensures Wunmi is informed of the pending suit and the court's requirement for a DNA test on Liam.
