The cash prize was officially awarded to Laycon on Wednesday, 30th of September during the Multichoice Winner's Prize presentation shown Live on African Magic.
Appreciating fans via Instagram, Laycon who shared photos of himself receiving the cash and answering questions with a panel wrote;

Since Laycon came out of the house, both himself and his tribe, popularly known as "The Icons" have been overwhelmed by love on Laycon's part and extreme joy on the part of his fans who are still excited that their votes pulled through and made him a winner.
Laycon, who has been awarded his 30 Milion cash price is also entitled to a brand new house and a car all of which, including the cash should amount to 85 Million naira.
