Iyanya Reacts To Being Disrespected As A Nigerian Artist

Iyanya has shared his thoughts on Nigerian artists being disrespected and not being acknowledged for their hard work over time.

Singer Iyanya, in a recent post on his social media platform, spoke on how the journey and struggles of some Nigerian artists, such as himself, have been ridiculed and disrespected by people who do not understand how and why these artists find themselves in such situations.

The singer shared a lengthy post on social media where he voiced out his opinion. His post on social media read:

The truth is, y’all disrespect people’s journey and expect others to respect yours. Yes after sometime I was out, now I’m back, the foundation for a new iyanya has been laid and the house is currently being built and I promise you, we will roof part of it soon.( music) Love you All, Remain Blessed

The singer shared his thought after the negative reactions from social media users following his contribution to the statement made by Davido on who led the global afrobeats trend.

His post read:
