Nigerian Afrobeats star Iyanya has finally addressed claims suggesting he has picked sides in the long-running feud between two of the country's biggest music stars, Wizkid and Davido.

The drama resurfaced after an X user, @Akubasteeny, accused Iyanya of abandoning his friendship with Wizkid, with whom he collaborated on the 2013 hit Sexy Mama, in favour of Davido, following his recent public show of support for the DMW boss.

Reacting swiftly, Iyanya dismissed the allegation, making it clear that he holds no grudges against any artist in the industry and continues to support his colleagues regardless of fan-imposed rivalries.

“I don’t have an issue with any artiste. I played Wizkid’s Made in Lagos and Morayo the same way I play every other artiste’s songs,” Iyanya wrote, noting that it’s common practice among artists to listen to each other’s new projects to stay connected with evolving sounds in the music space.

He further stressed his genuine relationships with other musicians, pointing out that he recently partied with Burna Boy and frequently listens to fresh tracks introduced by talent manager Ubi Franklin.

Iyanya wrapped up his statement by calling out fans for fueling unnecessary divisions between artists, adding, “I dey play all and I tell you, me no get enemy o. So make una stop this friend or no friend. Na una fans dey try dey push agenda wey no dey.”

His remarks come amid renewed tensions between Wizkid and Davido, whose off-and-on rivalry continues to ignite debates and heated exchanges across social media platforms.
