'I didn't get a penny from my first album'- Ikechukwu
Nigerian actor and rapper Ikechukwu Killz said that he did not receive any financial compensation for his first album.
This week has seen numerous revelations and criticism from veteran rappers, artists, and the emerging generation of singers. In a candid conversation during a live session hosted by popular media personality Daddy Freeze, Ikechukwu Onunakyu, also called Ikechukwu, said he did not receive any financial compensation during his first album.

The veteran rapper turned-actor has appeared in many Nollywood films such as The Wedding Party, The Wedding Party 2: Destination Dubai, and the little black book. During the interview, he said, "It was around 2010. Mo'Hits gave me 1 million naira in support of burying my dad. They helped me. I don leave storm records by that time. I did make some money from shows. For example my first album. Till today I haven't seen one penny from my first album. T-Joe promoted my first album. T-Joe paid money on my first album twice. Most of my performances, in the beginning, were promo performances. There was more fame than money".
The Actor also shed some light on his relationship with Nateo C. He revealed a shift in their relationship which has led to them not talking anymore. He said, "I noticed the shift in energy; we don't talk like before⦠Right now, we don't talk anymore".
