It was an incredible weekend for Ghanaians. The last week was filled with Independence Day celebrations and a lavish concert party in Washington DC.

The inaugural Rolling Cocoa Music Festival, centred around Afrobeats culture, dominated Washington D.C. this weekend. The event was scheduled for March 9, 2024, at The Anthem in the Southwest Waterfront neighbourhood. The Ghanaian-themed music and cultural extravaganza showcased top Ghanaian talent on a global platform. Timed perfectly with Ghanaian Independence Weekend, the event infused the energy of West Africa into the heart of America's capital.

Headlining this year's festival were Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, R2bees, Kidi, Kwesi Arthur, Camidoh, Efya, S3fa, Kwasi Beast, Kappacinco, and Zigi. Rolling Cocoa's debut festival coincided with the 67th anniversary of Ghana's liberation from British colonial rule, adding a significant cultural resonance to the festivities.

Black Sherif captivated fans with his remarkable style and melodious performance, leaving them in awe. Meanwhile, Stonebwoy greeted a female fan by shaking her hand, sending her into a frenzy of excitement. Black Sherif even performed Woto Woto seasoning live at the Rolling Cocoa Fest. Woto Woto seasoning is his collaboration with Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck.
