Gospel Singer, Sammie Okposo Dies At 51

The Nigerian music industry is in mourning as gospel singer, Sammy Okposo passes on to the great beyond.

Renowned Nigerian gospel artiste and music producer, Sammie Okposo has died at the age of 51.

A spokesperson issued a statement on behalf of the family confirming that the singer passed away in his sleep at his home in Lagos on the 25th of November.

Sammie Okposo was a widely recognised International Multi Award winning Artist, known for his production and musical contribution to the Nollywood Film Industry as well as his chart topping hits including "Oluwa E Tobi", "Comot Body" "Sing Halleluyah", "Na Only You I Know" and more.
He is survived by his wife, Ozioma Okposo and his daughter, Alula.
