The recent Brit Awards ceremony took place in London, with musicians from all around the world vying for the top prize in music in the United Kingdom. English singer-songwriter RAYE emerged as the star of the night, receiving seven nominations - the most ever at the Brits.

She won an impressive five Brits, including best new artist, artist of the year, song of the year, and album of the year. RAYE even brought her grandmother on stage to accept one of her multiple awards. Before stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist, RAYE worked behind the scenes in music, writing and producing for big names like Beyoncé, Rihanna, and David Guetta. Kylie Minogue was also in attendance and received the prestigious Global Icon Award and performed a medley of her hits to close the show.

The Artist of the Year nominees included Dua Lipa, Arlo Parks, Jessie Ware, Little Simz, and Olivia Dean, highlighting significant progress in comparison to last year's nominees, which didn't include any female-identifying acts.
