Renowned Nigerian gospel singer Frank Edwards recently honored his mother during the Mother's Day celebration, expressing profound gratitude for her pivotal role in shaping his music career.

Edwards recounted a significant moment when, years ago, he was on the verge of finalizing a $320,000 deal with a group aiming to acquire his entire music catalog. His mother firmly opposed the agreement, asserting that the ₦150,000 she had invested to help him start his studio was of greater value than the proposed sum, emphasizing the importance of patience and divine alignment.

To prevent Edwards from proceeding with the deal, she went as far as confiscating his international passport, ensuring he couldn't travel to finalize the arrangement. Reflecting on the actions of his mother, Frank Edwards admitted he initially struggled to understand her perspective, questioning how her modest investment could outweigh the substantial offer.

Now, with the benefit of hindsight, Edwards acknowledges the wisdom in his mother's counsel. He credits her unwavering faith and guidance for his current success, noting that none of her words have failed because she truly hears from God. In his heartfelt tribute, Edwards thanked his mother for being an impenetrable wall of fire and for always conveying God's intentions regarding his endeavors.
