Frank Edoho speaks on Mercy Chinwo vs. Eezee Tee contract dispute

Renowned Nigerian media personality Frank Edoho has weighed in on the ongoing contract dispute between gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her former record label boss, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, popularly known as Eezee Tee.
In a video addressing the contract dispute on Instagram on Thursday, March 20, 2025, Frank Edoho urged Nigerians to focus on verified facts rather than emotions, revealing that two separate audits had confirmed that Eezee Tee owed Mercy Chinwo money.
According to Edoho, the first audit was conducted in 2023 in the presence of a mediator, Apostle Anslem Madubuko, Mercy Chinwo, her husband Pastor Blessed, and Eezee Tee. The findings reportedly showed that Eezee Tee owed Mercy Chinwo, leading to an agreement for the debt to be repaid in instalments. However, due to Eezee Tee’s delays and non-compliance, the audit company withdrew from the case.
A second audit was later conducted by the EFCC, which also revealed financial discrepancies in Eezee Tee’s records, further confirming that he owed the gospel singer.
Edoho emphasized that there was no coercion or violence involved in the process, dismissing speculations that Mercy Chinwo was avoiding an audit. He also cited another gospel artiste, Judikay, who reportedly conducted her own audit and discovered similar financial discrepancies with Eezee Tee’s label.
The media personality called on the public to avoid speculation and stick to the facts, noting that Nigerians often let emotions cloud their judgment. “Non-Nigerians believe Nigerians prefer narratives over facts, and I find that to be somewhat true. In this case, let’s focus on verified information rather than feelings,” he stated.
Edoho’s remarks have sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users expressing skepticism, while others sought further clarification on the controversy surrounding Mercy Chinwo’s contract with Eezee Tee.
