Fireboy drops music video for 'Obaa Sima'

Afrobeat sensation Fireboy released the music video for Obaa Sima.

Fireboy has unveiled the music video for his thrilling track 'Obaa Sima.' This single, released in late 2023 as part of a 2-pack release, highlights Fireboy's skill in creating hit songs infused with lively Afrobeats elements that set the tone for celebrations.

The music video is FIreboy's first release of 2024. The music video was directed by Jyde Ajala. Fireboy released 'Outside' featuring Blaqbonez and 'Obaa Sima' in late 2023. Fireboy DML explained why 2023 has been a relatively quiet year for him musically. The singer had an impressive global run between 2021 and 2022 following the release of his hit song ‘Peru’ and a remix version of the song with British singer, Ed Sheeran.

His single Peru featuring Ed Sheeran is one of Nigeria's most Exported songs. During an Interview with Wat And Ers, Fireboy said, “2023 has been a year of learning and growth for me as a person and as an artist. I’m just really grateful for the journey. When people say be grateful for the journey, I think this year has been that year for me. Sometimes, it’s okay to step out from being an artiste and just realise that you’re human as well. but this year has been rather quiet for me so it’s also giving me more time to spend more time with family at home in Lagos, Nigeria."
