The YBNL/EMPIRE Believes Everyone Should Play Their Specific Roles in the Industry

Nigerian ace singer, songwriter, and performer Adedamola Adefolahan, popularly known as Fireboy DML, has shared his thoughts on music industry feuds, following the recent clash between Wizkid and Davido.

The YBNL/Empire artist, who just released his 14-track fourth studio album 'Adedamola' featuring iconic Nigerian Afrobeat and Traditional Folk musician Lagbaja, American Grammy-winning soul artist Jon Batiste, Afrobeat veteran Seun Kuti, Afrobeats star Lojay, and award-winning Nigerian DJ Spinall, has been on a media tour promoting the project.

Speaking on CITY FM, Fireboy DML was asked for his thoughts on superstars like Wizkid, Davido, and even international names like Kendrick Lamar & Drake engaging in public beefs. The soulful singer expressed that everyone should focus on their roles in the music ecosystem. He elaborated, saying, "Artistes should remain artistes, fans should remain fans, and the media should continue to tell the stories."

The award-winning singer further emphasised that while beefs are inevitable because artistes are humans and emotions can run high, his main focus remains on making music and minding his own business. In the 29-minute interview, Fireboy also delved into his latest album, Adedamola, discussing the creative process, his career journey, and other intriguing topics.
