Nigerian music sensation, Adedamola Adefolahan, also known as Fireboy DML, has shared insights into his musical journey and personal growth since dropping his first album, 'Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps,' in 2019.

In a chat with The Beat 99.9 FM Lagos on Monday, January 8, 2024, Fireboy opened up about how becoming a millionaire brought about significant changes in his life, influencing his musical style. The 'Peru' singer acknowledged that newfound wealth made him realize he had transformed as a person.

In his words, “Sometimes you may think you are one person, then N50 million will enter your account, and you will realize you are a different person. There were a lot of things I said I would never do or be until I became a millionaire.”

Fireboy addressed fans who missed his old music and said they should listen to his first album if they want the "old" him. He also said making another album like 'Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps' was impossible because of the big changes in his life.

“How do you expect a 27-year-old millionaire, who has experienced life, to make another album like ‘LTG’ again? Think about it. How? Even the album [‘LTG’], it’s not every time you are going to be in the mood to listen to it. Sometimes it may be ‘Apollo’ or ‘Playboy,’” Fireboy remarked, shedding light on the diverse influences that shape his creativity.

The singer wants everyone to know that artists are regular people who grow personally and creatively. He told fans to accept that artists change over time and to enjoy the different ways they express themselves based on their life experiences.
