Davido took to social media on the 17th of October 2020, to call out Governor Gboyega Oyetola for allowing his thugs hijack a peaceful protest and not do anything about it. In his words:

Davido further expressed his displeasure over the death of a harmless protester who was supposedly killed by someone in the Governor's convoy. In his words:

The DMW boss insisted that Governor Gboyega Oyetola should report the supposed murderer of the deceased protestor amongst his convoy. In his words:
