Iconic American Record Producer, Rapper and Entreprenuer, Andre Romelle Young, popularly known as Dr. Dre, has spoken on rapper Eminem's decision to 'take a knee' during the Super Bowl Halftime show.

Dr. Dre performed at Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on Monday, February 14th, 2022, alongside heavyweights such as Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and 50 Cent (who was a special guest), and the performance has been a global topic.

Rapper Eminem caused a frenzy on social media after taking a knee, a significant pose to protest against police brutality and racial inequality, which was first pulled off by former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in 2016, a protest that eventually drew the player heavy black lash, including from then-President Trump.

Speaking with news outlet TMZ, Dr. Dre stated that Emimen taking the knee was all the rapper's choice. He said:

Em taking the knee, that was Em doing that on his own, and there was no problem with that
