In a social media post on Monday, February 17, 2025, Davido expressed his dissatisfaction, calling on the Osun State Commissioner of Police to uphold the rule of law. His statement, written in a mix of English and Pidgin, said, "Mr. Commissioner, respect the rule of law! You are not madder or crazier than us! Let's all go mad! MEN MOUNT WALAI TO KRF! I will post about you every day, everywhere, Mr. man! Try me, fucker."

Following the conclusion of the Local Government elections in Osun state and the decision made by the court of appeal after the election, the Governor of the State, Governor Adeleke on Sunday, February 16, 2025, accused his predecessor, Adegboyega Oyetola, of orchestrating plans to destabilize Osun State.
Adeleke claimed that Oyetola is using his influence as President Tinubu’s nephew to incite unrest. He further alleged that the minister is working in collaboration with the Osun State Commissioner of Police, the Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), and the State Commandant of the Civil Defense Corps.
The governor called on President Tinubu to intervene and address the situation. He also urged the Nigerian public to hold Oyetola responsible for any possible disruption of peace and order in the state.

What did Davido say about the Osun State crisis
With reports of ongoing violence and chaos in the state, Davido took to social media to also air his grievances on the case as well. Davido criticized the commissioner for not upholding the rule of law. In a subsequent post, he labelled the commissioner as a "disgrace" to his children.
"Mr. Umar Abba, Osun State Commissioner, you are a disgrace to your children! Game on, F*KER! We'll all go mad together! Wrey!" The singer also posted a video promising to match the commissioner's "madness."
