Popular Nigerian artist David Adeleke is, known as Davido, has revealed his plans for 2022 in terms of music and entertainment in an exclusive interview with Remi Burgz on BBC 1Xtra.

The interview with the 30 BG boss revealed his plans for his 02 Arena concert scheduled for March 5, 2022, and more plans for the year 2022.

The BBC 1Xtra interview, which happened today, Wednesday, February 23, 2022, had Davido spill numerous secrets that were not known about the artists to date.

It is no news that the 30 BG boss would be performing to a sold-out audience on March 5, 2022. Davido had revealed that the event had surpassed their initial target in terms of numbers which led the managers at the 02 Arena to reach out to him about opening more seats to increase the capacity ahead of the big event.

Davido promised that there would be a lot of special surprises from his team for the fans.

I received a call from 02 saying they had to make more seats available.

10 Years With Davido On Stage

Davido discussed how this performance at the 02 Arena was special for him as an artist. He indicated that Davido London The 02 would be a celebration of his 10 years as an artist and as an entertainer. He noted that he would bring the energy to the stage as the event itself was very symbolic.

Reality Show Plans For 2022

Davido made a special announcement about his plans for his team and his family; he mentioned that a reality show that would feature his day-to-day activity is currently in plans and would be aired in 2022. The artist did not give a specific time, but it sounded like it would be a massive project on the way from his excitement.

How 'If' Was Important To Him

Davido talked about how 'If' was important for him as an artist; in his words, it redefined his career and changed the afrobeats game as a whole. He talked about how Tekno, who produced the song, had pulled him out of the club to record the hit.

How The Pandemic Affected His Music

Davido was asked how it had been possible for him to drop two albums within a short period, 'A Good Time' on November 22, 2019, and 'A Better Time' on November 13, 2020. He explained that while he was on tour in the United States of America, which was supposed to be from February 28, 2020, till April 11, 2020, the pandemic had hit hard and he had to cancel his last show and fly back home. He indicated that he had a lot of time in his hands to hit the studio and produce good music.

That was how i was able to release 'A Better Time' and although it was not a better time then we could only hope for a better time.
