Davido reacts to reports of him performing at DLT festival 2024 in Malta

Singer Davido has reacted to an announcement confirming him as the headline act for the DLT Festival 2024 alongside other artists such as Odumodublvck, Amaarae, Shallipopi and others.

The famous and award-winning Nigerian singer, Davido, who is currently on tour, recently took to his social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), to clarify that he would not be headlining the DLT Festival 2024 in Malta, as initially reported on the event's flyer.

He used the face cap emoji, which is a popular Nigerian slang for a lie, to emphasize that the reports were not true. Davido's clarification came as a surprise to many of his fans who were looking forward to seeing him perform at the festival. However, he did not disclose the reasons behind his decision to withdraw from the event.

Davido's direct response led to a change in the flyer's design by the organisers of the event to indicate that he would indeed not be available for the concert.
