Davido, in his latest message, has reacted to his 2026 Grammy award loss as well as his attendance during the ceremony.

In a moment of vulnerability turned triumph, Afrobeats titan Davido has broken his silence following the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.

Despite a night of high expectations, the "Timeless" star proved that true character is measured by how one handles a loss, sharing a candid exchange with his wife, Chioma Rowland, that has since gone viral.

The singer took to Instagram to share a series of stunning photographs of the couple, looking regal in their awards ceremony attire. However, it was the caption that caught the attention of fans worldwide.

Davido revealed that he initially felt like skipping the festivities entirely after realising he wouldn't be taking home a trophy.

"I said baby listen we lost let’s not go," Davido wrote, recounting a private moment of frustration. He then credited Chioma for shifting his perspective, quoting her response: "She said be humble in victory and gracious in defeat. We outside."

The post has sparked a wave of support from the "30BG" fanbase and fellow artists, who praised Chioma’s wisdom and Davido’s transparency.

By showing up to the event despite the outcome, Davido reinforced his status as a leader in the global Afrobeats movement, prioritising the celebration of African music over individual accolades.
