Davido reveals how he made his new album '5ive'

Davido in his latest interview with Rolling Stone Africa has opened up on how and where he recorded his highly anticipated new album, '5ive.'
In a recent Rolling Stone interview, Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido shared an intimate glimpse into the creative process behind his highly anticipated fifth studio album, "5ive." The artist revealed that the album was born out of a unique and vibrant atmosphere at his Malibu residence earlier this year.
Davido described the experience as a blend of music, camaraderie, and leisure. For two to three weeks, his producers and engineers camped out at the house, immersing themselves in the creative process. "We made amazing music, we had parties. Some days, we wouldn’t even record," Davido shared. The relaxed and collaborative environment even attracted visits from international stars like Chris Brown.
The artist emphasized that the laid-back vibes contributed to the organic creation of the album. "It was just so much vibes that we weren’t noticing that we were making some dope music," he said.
Set to release in April 2025, "5ive" promises to celebrate Davido's journey. Fans eagerly await the album, which is expected to feature a mix of personal reflections and innovative sounds.
