Davido honoured as 'Outstanding Georgia Citizen'

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has received the esteemed title of 'Outstanding Georgia Citizen' from the State of Georgia, USA.

The Unavailable hit singer was acknowledged during the State of Georgia General Assembly meeting on Friday, December 1, 2023, where he accepted the honour.

The father of two shared a clip from the meeting and posted a copy of his proclamation letter on his Instagram handle, expressing gratitude and acknowledging, "God is good."

The proclamation letter, signed by Brad Raffensperger, Secretary of State of the State of Georgia, extends courtesies to Davido as a "Goodwill Ambassador" representing Georgia in his travels both within the United States and internationally.

Born to Nigerian parents in Atlanta, the state capital, Davido is a citizen of the State of Georgia by birth.

The recognition further solidifies Davido's ties to his birthplace, acknowledging his achievements and contributions as an artist and global ambassador for Georgia.
